Summary
In reply to 'Tories not interested in green issues' (June 25), being 'green' is good (generally speaking), recycling is good, not polluting is good - but you mention, 'climate change'. Well, as the climate has always changed in regular cycles and long before humans came along, perhaps you mean 'global warming', in other words, Anthropogenic Global Warming (AGW).
The term 'climate change' was stolen by the AWGers, when it became apparent that the climate was not behaving as the computer models predicted. (They can always try to blame it on the climate changing when AGW falls apart, which it will.) Indeed the fact is that there has been no global warming for some 10 years now, and no sea level rise at all for five years. The sea is cooling and the sun is at a 100-year 'low' and may be entering a new 'grand minimum', as it did with the Sporer, Maunder and Dalton minimums to name but three. In all these periods the world cooled, with the Maunder coinciding with the so-called Little Ice Age (LIA), the effects of which are found all over the globe.See the full content of this document
