Summary
WITH seven million plus members of trade unions and some 1.5million-plus in related organisations their votes will influence the outcome of the general election. Strange the Tories and Liberal Democrats don't even think they exist anymore at all. There are some 700,000 union members in the South West alone.
In councils across the country where Tory and Liberal Democrats share power, they cut jobs, freeze posts, privatise services, shut care homes and put up costs for services to the elderly and vulnerable. So the union members' votes will have a major part in many marginal seats across the country.
