VANDALS shut off the gas supply to an entire Totnes housing estate after breaking open a utility company's kiosk.

Some 70 homes at Copland Meadow were left without gas for up to five hours as gas company workers were forced to turn off the supply at each i n d i vi d u a l h o u s e b e f o r e switching the main supply back on.
