Upton Boss Banned for Six Months

Summary

UPTON Athletic Reserves boss Ted Locke has been slapped with a six-month ban by the Devon FA after pleading guilty to a charge of bringing the game into disrepute. Locke, who has also held the role of club secretary since making the switch from Waldon Athletic in the summer, is believed to have fielded a player under a false name during a reserve team fixture.

The 41-year-old's 182-day suspension starts on November 1. Phil Lloyd has already taken over the role of secretary while Adam Carpenter is expected to help out with the running of the club's second string in Locke's absence.
