The highly-critical public response to the Brand-Ross affair is indicative of their anger at the decline of acceptable standards in BBC programmes.
It is obvious the BBC management has accepted that almost anything is permissible to broadcast, including offensively obscene telephone calls, in the pursuit of improved programme ratings. The fact that Ross is the highest paid BBC employee is evidence that his tasteless, smutty approach to broadcasting has the full approval of the Corporation's management.See the full content of this document
