A Hospital Stay May Be Daunting, but Torbay's Wonderful Staff Put Me at Ease

I LIKE to think you receive many letters about the fine service to patients by everyone at Torbay Hospital, but I come from that elderly group of pensioners for whom putting ourselves at the mercy of a hospital is a daunting thought. I want to relate briefly my experience.

For the first time in my life -- and I am nearer 80 than 70 -- I required the services of an ambulance. From the time my wife first rang to the arrival of first the paramedic service who happened to be nearby and then the ambulance was no more than 15 minutes -- this was at around 10.30am.
