Summary
As the chair of the Newton Abbot Christmas Illuminations Committee I would like to publicly apologise to all the people who stood patiently on Saturday night waiting for our lights to be switched on, only to be let down for the second year running. Only this year we did not even manage to get them lit within a reasonable time.
I know no excuse will help our young heroes who were looking forward to carrying out the task of switching them on, and so I feel it is only right not to try and offer one. To repeat the age old saying, 'the best laid plans by mice and men, etc'.See the full content of this document
