Summary
It was sunny. The showers had passed. The hedgebank above the narrow country road was bright with wildflowers. And the urban fringe farmland had that radiance of early spring about it.
At the crossroads I chose to continue along the road with the valley meadows rising on each side. The birdsong between the hedges was stereophonic. I hadn't gone very far before I had seen and heard the following birds; wren, starling, robin, greenfinch, goldfinch and chaffinch.
