THE PLANNING inspector came down strongly in favour of Brixham residents who he stated gave 'very compelling' evidence to the inquiry over Wishings Field.

In contrast, William Webster said evidence for the objector, Mudstone LLP, to the village green application was less plausible and the objector only took steps to prevent residents using the field when they wished to use it for another purpose.
