THE number of passengers travelling by intercity trains in and out of Torbay has jumped 20 per cent in the first half of this year.
First Great Western (FGW) says this follows last year's seven per cent rise in numbers on the line between Exeter and Paignton. And passenger numbers on the Newton Abbot to Torbay line saw also an increase, of 12 per cent, in 2009. The figures come after South West Trains ceased operating west of Exeter.See the full content of this document
