IT MAY be that the re-grading of staff by Torbay Council could have been conveyed to them in a more tactful way, but it is the result of a Government edict not just a whim of Torbay councillors.

The Government has overspent for a number of years. Our creditors are beginning to query if we can pay the interest on borrowing, and whoever wins the forthcoming election, cuts will have to be made in expenditure.
