THE present schools' funding arrangements are unfair on Devon's schoolchildren. That's why we have actively campaigned on the issue for some time, collecting thousands of signatures from schools across Exeter and Teignbridge.
Currently, the poorest children in Devon get the poorest education. We want to see a fairer, simpler formula where funding is targeted at the individual, rather than by geography. This is why the Conservatives have pledged a pupil premium for poorer children, which we will institute immediately, meaning that children from poorer backgrounds will have more spent on their education per capita.See the full content of this document
