HERO Mike Willis has been praised by fire chiefs for preventing a potentially 'nasty' blaze at a seven-storey block of 39 flats in Torquay.
A smoke alarm fitted in the second floor flat alerted 52-year- old Mike, who extinguished an airing cupboard blaze at Ilsham House in Wellswood before evacuating his elderly mother and alerting every occupant on his floor to the danger just after 5am yesterday.See the full content of this document
