THE mayor who gave Totnes a swimming pool more than 30 years ago has been honoured with a special commemorative plaque.
Courtenay Blake was three times mayor of Totnes and a driving force behind the Totnes and District Swimming Pool Association (Tadpool) which built the town pool in the 1970s. Mr Blake died two years ago aged 93. The pool is still run by the association alongside the South Hams Council-owned pavilion which is run by Tone Leisure.See the full content of this document
