The mum of an eight-year-old girl, left badly disabled by a bout of meningitis when she was a baby, broke down as she described her daughter's descent into an apparently 'lifeless' body on a hospital bed.

Natasha Osborne, of Exeter, claims a GP who saw her daughter Chloe May Langdon, nine hours before she was admitted to hospital, was negligent in failing to spot that she was gravely ill and needed to be referred to hospital as an emergency.
