I READ the letter from a resident of a property in close proximity to Primley Park and would (as a dog owner) like to clarify certain points and accusations made by this person ('Parklife is far from idyllic thanks to dogs', August 11).

Firstly, Primley Park has for as long as I can remember been a place where dog owners have taken their dogs to exercise them, so if this person moved in a few years ago the walking of dogs already existed. This person now is objecting to this practice.
