Summary
READING the tributes to David Dando ('Bygones', September 1) brought back many memories for my husband and I. I recall Preston Preparatory School in Paignton, the last house on the right going down Seaway Road right by the railway line -- Miss Brookes was the headmistress. Unfortunately I cannot remember how many pupils attended.
Whilst walking down the road to school the Americans would come by on their bicycles asking us if we would like some gum. We were thrilled to have treats.See the full content of this document
