BORN in Christchurch, New Zealand, in 1976, dancer Brendan Cole describes himself as a 'mischievous child' who, at the age of six, first learnt ballroom and Latin American dancing. Having a natural talent for dance, he soon became juvenile, junior and youth champion in New Zealand and later went on to compete at an international level.
