Take the decision by Torbay Council to widen Brixham's Blackball Lane, reputedly to accommodate twoway traffic into Freshwater Quarry. Local residents' group Friends of Furzeham is understandably upset because it was not consulted and fears it might mean the destruction of the historic lime kilns on the corner of Bench House.
