LABOUR Party press officer Barry Kaye wrote in reply to my letter concerning our plans to abolish Government homebuilding targets ('Homes target caused by Tory policies', October 12).

He said that we Conservatives 'propose to get rid of the government's structured and targeted plan to house those in need in Torbay to the required (my italics) level of 15,000 houses'.
