Lifeboat Damaged in Buoy Crash

DARTMOUTH'S Pounds 32,000 inshore lifeboat (pictured) was out of action for more than six hours on Sunday after an accident in which the 16ft inflatable crashed into a steel buoy.

The accident happened during a training exercise when the boat, with a crew of three, struck the Homestone Buoy around a mile south of Dartmouth Castle at around 10.30am.
