NEWTON Abbot and District Town Band is holding a 'come and play' evening tomorrow, from 7.30-9.30pm at Prospect Hall, East Street, Newton Abbot.

Julie Cleave, secretary of the band committee, said: "We are looking for more players and the members thought that having an open evening would be a good opportunity for people to come along with their instruments, join us for a rehearsal and hopefully become a member.
