Public Inquiry Into Plan for Holiday Park Site Adjourned [Edition 3]

A PUBLIC inquiry into the appeal against refusal of planning permission to redevelop a former Brixham holiday park has been adjourned until next year. Torbay Council planners turned down proposals for 219 homes, a 60-bed care home and touring caravans on the former Pontins Wall Park site at Berry Head last November. Northern Trust, the investor behind the scheme, is appealing the decision and a four-day public inquiry was due to start in Brixham Theatre yesterday.

But Queen's Counsel Ian Dove, on behalf of Northern Trust, called for an adjournment on the grounds the case cannot be completed within the allotted time.
