I AM incensed by your correspondent (HE, May 29) where she states that dog owners who pick up their dog poo are liars; what a nerve. Don't judge everybody by your own standards. I always pick up, and sometimes even pick up extra faeces that happen to be near in a vain effort to keep places looking clean and tidy; but the biggest culprits are the folk that go on to our parks and beaches and leave all their dross and rubbish everywhere, so that the others have to see that all our beauty spots look disgusting. Why won't people take their rubbish home? Is it really so difficult? Until the men from the cleaning department at the council have been to work you cannot walk the dog on Abbey Park for the cans, broken bottles, tins, crisp packets, sandwich packets, chocolate wrappers etc.
Come on, folks, take a leaf from our continental neighbours and clean up this lovely part of Devon where we live.See the full content of this document
