ICONIC Preston shop, the Torbay Electric Light Company, which is owned by the chairman of the Torbay Chamber of Trade, has closed it doors after 25 years with the loss of 10 jobs.

Business owner and chamber chairman, Christian Seiflow-Moran, put the business into voluntary liquidation on Friday saying: "The recession has hit us hard."
