DAWLISH residents turned out in their d r ove s t o g i ve a resounding 'no' to selling off one of the town's most prominent buildings. Hundreds of people queued for their chance to vote on whether or not Dawlish Town Council should sell off the Manor House.

And when the votes were counted, an overwhelming 1,515 voted against the sell-off, with 96 backing it. There were 13 spoiled ballot papers.
