EXHAUSTED drivers are putting themselves and other motorists at risk after falling into the late-night TV trap, says a new survey.

After staying up late and getting less than the recommended eight hours' sleep, they can be a danger to other road users, say the findings of research conducted in the South West by webuyanycar.com The poll of motorists in the region found that 84% of those questioned go to bed later than 10pm, with a massive 86% not getting enough sleep. The main reason given for this is watching late-night TV, a habit of nearly two-thirds (69%) of motorists. Just over one in ten (10%) blame general domestic routine such as looking after children, carrying out household chores and arguing, on their late nights.
