HAVING read the last but one Bye the Bye (HE, July 3) in which he tries to justify the money paid to the top earners in Town Hall. Perhaps in his next column he could address a number of other issues that are of interest to voters in Torbay and those in the Totnes constituency.
Please can he confirm the amount spent on consultants across all council departments since taking office? Why has it been necessary to increase the PR budget from Pounds 90,000 to Pounds 275,000 when other budgets are being cut? What is the current level of Torbay's debt and how does this compare with that when the mayor took office? If, as he states, he is the people's champion in the Town Hall and thrifty, these questions should not cause him a problem. I look forward to his next column.See the full content of this document
