TORQUAY UNITED chairman Simon Baker believes that the new Football League 'solidarity and parachute payment' deal has widened the gap between League Two and the Conference.

The agreement, which should give United around Pounds 220,000 next season, has been criticised because of the extra millions it hands to relegated Premier League clubs.
