DAWLISH Tennis Club raised more than Pounds 1,000 towards the cost of new floodlights at their Sandy Lane HQ during a fund- raising tennis-a-thon.

Eight groups of members covering all ages at the club played for 90 minutes over 10 hours play that began in sunshine and finished under the equally bright floodlights.
