From policeman to funnyman, John Archer decided 11 years ago to turn his semi-professional act into a full-time career.

Since then the comedian and magician hasn't looked back, scooping a host of top awards including The Magic Circle's Carlton Comedy Award for outstanding use of comedy and magic, the British Magical Championships Comedy Award and the Mervyn Stutter Spirit of the Fringe Award at the Edinburgh Comedy Festival.
