FUNDING to care for some of Torbay's most vulnerable adults is being cut by more than Pounds 2million.

Torbay Care Trust has revealed that the adult social care budget, which currently looks after 3,500 people, is being axed by Pounds 45,000 a week to balance the books by next April. Chief executive Anthony Farnsworth has told a meeting the service was facing potential cuts of around Pounds 50,000 a week, but the trust has since confirmed the Pounds 45,000 figure.
