Once again weather caused havoc at the long-running Torbay and Babbacombe ASA Christmas Match (in support of the RNLI) as easterlies blew straight up the river, making several known hotspots very uncomfortable.

The back beach marks were filled as some shelter came from the buildings there, while other anglers made for Charlie's Beach, Coombe Cellars and Netherton, where the winning fish two weeks ago was caught.
