Mum Admits Dishonestly Claiming Pounds 21k Benefits

Summary

A MOTHER of five from Paignton dishonestly claimed more than Pounds 21,000 in benefits. Carole Bissington, 48, of Foxhole Road, said she was divorced in paperwork she filled out in 2001 to claim income support, council tax benefit and housing benefit.

She was interviewed three times but denied having a partner and living in a common household, although she did admit to doing two weeks' work while claiming benefits.
