Restaurateur Could Face Pounds 80,000 Fines If Staff Were Working Illegally

TWO children were handed into the care of Torbay Council yesterday after an immigration raid at a Torquay town centre Chinese restaurant. A spokesman for the UK Border Agency explained a boy and girl, both under the age of 16, were taken into the care of the unitary authority's social services department after being found working illegally at the Oriental Touch restaurant in St Marychurch Road, Plainmoor.
